Mrs. Opal D. Berry passed away late Friday afternoon, May 14, 2010, at her St. Joe Manor residence in Bonne Terre, at the age of 86 years, 8 months & 13 days. Opal was born on August 31, 1923, in Goodland, Missouri, and was the daughter of Walter Melvel Mayfield and Leona Mae 'Wilson' Mayfield. Also preceding-in-death were: her 1st husband, Charles Lloyd Trollinger; her 2nd husband, Charles Gary Smith; A daughter, Eleanor Ruth "Judy" Propst. 2 Sisters: Florence Chandler & Leona Farmer. 4 Brothers: Edward Mayfield; Jesse Mayfield; Willis Whitaker & Willie Mayfield.

Opal was a former Cook at the Hotel Ste. Genevieve and a member of the Eastern Star Lodge at St. Marys.

Survivors Include: 2 Daughters: Carol 'Mrs. Larry' Lovette, of Cape Girardeau, MO. Penny L. 'Mrs. Kenneth' Froud, of Dittmer, MO. 2 Sons: Charles A. (& Carole Keil) Trollinger, Sr., of Bonne Terre; Johnny W. (& Pat) Trollinger, of DeSoto, MO. 2 Sisters: Loretta Mayfield, of Rolla, MO. & Sharon Kay 'Mrs. Loy' Roberts, of O'Fallon, MO. Also surviving are: 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces & Nephews, and her former husband, Chuck Berry, of DeSoto, MO.

Visitation starts Monday @ 10:00 a.m.

Funeral : Monday, 1:00 p.m., May 17, 2010

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Kenneth and Penny Froud officiating.

Interment follows at: Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery - Ste. Genevieve County, MO.
