Norman Thomas

Norman Thomas, 73, of Bonne Terre passed away January 28, 2017. He was born January 15, 1944 in Santa Ana, CA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Norman received his Master’s Degree from Iowa State University. He retired from the State of Missouri as a Social Worker for Southeast Missouri State Mental Health. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Bonne Terre and the American Mensa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Hazel (Dimon) Thomas; two brothers, Roland and John Thomas.

Norman is survived by his wife, Nancy (Hemphill) Thomas; two children, Heather Thomas and Nathan Thomas; three grandchildren, Noah and Sam Sliney, Charlotte Thomas; two sisters, Dorothy Brandt and Virginia Roach and husband Kirby.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 5 at 1:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church.
