Norman Hardin, 95, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Bonne Terre, passed away November 24, 2021, at Ratliff Care Center. He was born September 3, 1926, in Mountain Grove, to the late Grover Cleveland and Iva Ann (Weber) Hardin. He attended Flat River Church of God and retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad after 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Norman loved his grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, blackberries, watching football, and in his younger years, playing football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Rose (Bone) Hardin; two sons, Gale Ray Hardin and Michael Terrance Hardin; seven siblings.
Norman is survived by eight children, Debra (Victor) Jinkerson, John (Leah) Hardin, Ken (Kim) Hardin, Janet (Rick) Skinner, Terry Hardin, Ura Morgan Hardin, Melissa (Tim) Wiles and Randy Hardin; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ura (Patsy) Hardin.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, November 29, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume in the Desloge Chapel at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery in Old Cadet. Memorials may be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
