Norma Young

Norma Ruth Young, 81, passed away August 14, 2024 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. She was born July 15, 1943 in Farmington to the late James Patrick “Pat” Williams and Hazel Renee (Burnia) Williams. Norma faithfully attended her home church of Gumbo Assembly of God for many years. She enjoyed shopping and especially loved singing at all the local nursing homes. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Jones and Wanda Williams; one brother, Charles Williams.

Norma is survived by her four children, Denise (Ken) Chism, Dennis (Peggy) Swaringim, Wilfred (Mary Jane) Bilbruck, Jr., Andrea (Jody) Moore; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Ruby) Williams; two sisters, Ruth Russell and Mary (Curt) Ronning. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank Serenity HospiceCare for the care and compassion they showed to Norma. 

Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Pastor Michael Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Serenity HospiceCare.
