Norma Lee Doty

            Norma Doty, 88, of Park Hills, passed away November 3, 2016, at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. She was born July 25, 1928 in Idalia, MO, to the late Joe Sanders and Wilma Ocie (Weaver) Maloney. Norma and her husband Earl, owned and operated Doty’s Service Station in Frankclay for nearly 20 years. She never met a stranger, had friends of all ages, and truly believed laughter was the best medicine.

             She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Earl Doty of 46 years; son, Thomas Doty; granddaughter, Karen Sue Doty; brothers, Harold “Jeff” Maloney, Ronald Maloney; sisters, Pansy Layton, and Pauletta Trimble.

             Norma is survived by one son, Richard Doty and wife Faye, two daughters, Sheila (Mrs. Kevin) Culton, and Kelley Trotter; seven grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Bohnenkamp, Shanna (Larry) Hart, Scott (Sandy) Doty, Faron (Christy) Doty, Krista (Gralyn) Kennon, Derek Trotter and Caleb Trotter; eight great-grandchildren, Zach, Ethan, Aubrie, Anthony, Megan, Shane, Abby, and Sarah; and special buddy, Dolly Owens.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, November 7, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay.
