Norma Bailey

            Norma Leanna Bailey, 87, of Desloge, passed away in her home, on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Norma was born on august 1, 1929, the daughter of Phillip Weiss and Elva Byrd-Weiss Coleman of Cantwell.  

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin F. Bailey of Poplar Bluff; son, Michael “Mickey” L. Copeland of St. Charles; daughter, Margo R. King of Park Hills; sisters, Erma Mabery, Peggy Sutton, Betty Jones, and Helen “Toots” Jones.  

            Norma is survived by her son, David A. Bailey and wife Cheri of Farmington; step-son, Larry Bailey of Bakersfield, CA; daughter-in-law, Linda Copeland of St. Charles; sister, Sandy Kaperonis of Texas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 9:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Desloge, Friday, July 7, 2017 with the service following at 10:00 AM. Pastor Bradford Laubinger will be officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Family Ministry Center at First Baptist Church of Desloge, in memory of Norma Bailey. Norma’s passion in life, was volunteering at her church and the Desloge Family Ministry Center and in serving others in need in her community.
