Nina Marie Barnard

Mrs. Nina Marie "Duke" Barnard passed away Thursday morning, November 8, 2012, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, at the age of 67 years, 11 months & 23 days. Nina was born on November 15, 1944, in Doe Run, to James E. Hammers, and the late Nina Faye 'Powell' Hammers. Also preceding in death were: a brother, James Laudie Hammers and a great-granddaughter, Kamryn Olivia VanDeven.

Nina loved working side-by-side with her adoring husband on their property and riding the motorcycle with Paul. If she wasn't outside, she could be found in the kitchen baking one of her many creative concoctions. She loved to bake and feed people and always enjoyed having company. You could always be sure to have a cup of coffee and some country music on the radio if you showed up at her house.

Survivors Include : her husband, Paul W. Barnard, of Bismarck. A daughter, Kim McDowell, of Cape Girardeau. 3 sons: Jerry (& Tina) Paul, of Valencia, PA; Jason Paul, of Lehigh, FL; John (& Lou) Paul, of FL. Her father, James (& Ruby) Hammers, of Farmington. A sister, Brenda (& James) Kassabau, of Farmington; A brother, Kenny (& Patty) Hammers, of Steelville, MO; 5 Grandchildren: Kasey (& Justin) Siemers, of Cape Girardeau, MO; T. J. Hecht, of Cape Girardeau, MO; Nicolas Paul, of Chandler, AZ; Jason Richard Paul, of FL & Jessica Paul, of Valencia, PA. Special Friends: Kim (& Woody) Jaycox, of Bismarck. Also surviving are: numerous Nieces; Nephews; family friends & loved ones.

Visitation : Sunday, 4-8 p.m. Visitation Resumes, Monday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Monday, 1:00 p.m., November 12, 2012

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Danny Berry officiating.

Interment : Pendleton Cemetery - Doe Run
