Naomi E. Ferguson

Naomi Ferguson, 87, of Hudson, Colorado, formerly of Bonne Terre passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at her home in Colorado. She was born Wednesday, February 9, 1927 to the late William and Maud (Leftridge) Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ferguson; son, Terry Ferguson; brother, Willie Franklin; sisters, Zoella Franklin and Zelma Isgrig. Naomi moved to Colorado in 1973 to pursue her passion of hiking the mountains and capturing the views she experienced in her paintings. She was a "fourteener" which meant she climbed mountains that have independent peaks that meet or exceed an elevation of 14,000 feet. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Susie (Ferguson) Moulton and husband Don of Hudson, CO; brother, Jim Franklin of Bismarck; and sister, Ruth Wood of Bellevue, NE and several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Pastor Bradford Laubinger officiating. Interment is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Doniphan, MO.
