Nancy Steck

Nancy Steck age 97, passed away in Desloge, April 28, 2025. She was born November 10, 1927, in Flat River, to the late Frank and Mary (Dynis) Steck. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Frank and Mary Steck; beloved siblings, Eva, Martha, Annie, Mary Sudak, Tillie Heller, Helen Bosotin, Basil, Roy, Dorothy Henderson, Juliann Steck and Patricia Simpson.

Survived by beloved sister, Barbara Cuciureanu; and aunt of many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.

Nancy was a wonderful friend to many. She loved people and it was a joy to be around her. She loved to spend time in her yard planting flowers and feeding the birds. Nancy retired after 46 years at Union electric and was a faithful dedicated member of the Orthodox Christian faith and a member of the Nativity of the virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Desloge. May her memory be eternal. Our dear sister, aunt, Godmother, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 9:30 AM. Father Nicholas Finley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church Cemetery, in care of Phillip Mosier.
