Mr. Myron D. Wines departed this life on March 21, 2014, at the age of 88 years, 2 months & 7 days, while at his home in Farmington, MO., after a brief illness with acute myeloid leukemia. Myron was born in Farmington, on Jan. 14, 1926, to William Thomas Wines, Sr., & Ruth Jane 'Hulsey' Wines.

Myron was preceded-in-death by: his wife, Eileen Herbig Wines; his parents; brother Raymond Wines and sister, Evelyn Castle. He is survived by his daughter, Carol "Jeanne" and her husband, John D. Limp; brother, William Wines, Jr.; sister, Patsy Jarrett; his good friend, Dorothy Blumenberg; 4 grandchildren: Amanda Fischer, of Columbia, MO; Sarah Bricker and her husband, Roger, of Springfield, MO; Anna Limp of Portland, OR; Jonathan Limp, of Brooklyn, NY & 3 great-grandsons: Wyatt, Morgan & Marshall "Moosh."

Myron proudly served his country during World War II as a Seaman 2nd Class in the United States Navy & would often share his popular stories of travel & adventure with his grandchildren. He was a truck driver, a hard-working farmer & a faithful and ever-loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather.

Myron was an active & faithful member of Washita Baptist Church for 51 years, where he & his late wife encouraged & promoted a weekly "Penny March" to raise funds for the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.

Myron departed us on the first day of Spring, yet we do not look at his departure with immense sorrow, but with hope for the beginning of his newly restored life in heaven.

Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes : Wednesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., March 27, 2014

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Kevin Miller & Rev. Tom Conboy officiating

Interment with Full Military Honors follows at : Knights-of-Pythias Cemetery, Farmington

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home. Checks -or- Cash can be made through Washita Baptist Church. The church will present the funds to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home in memory of Myron Wines.
