Mildred "Mimi" Christopher

            Mildred “Mimi” Christopher, of Farmington, passed away at Community Manor on July 14, 2017, at the age of 72. She was born in St. Louis, to the late Marvin and Charlotte “Sug” (Bailey) McLane and later spent her childhood in the Park Hills area. She graduated from DeSoto High School where she met James L. Christopher and they were married on February 13, 1965, in the DeSoto Methodist Church. James joined the United States Air Force soon after, and they lived in several places thru out their married lives, including Japan, Turkey, Virginia and New Mexico. They returned to St. Francois County to live after James retired from the military. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Christopher; one brother, Marvin H. “Mike” McLane, Jr. 

            Mimi is survived by her sister, Kathryn Peterson and husband, Crockey; two nephews, Chip Peterson and wife Debbie, and A.J. Peterson; niece, Beth Peterson DeStefano and husband Paul; and a lifelong group of friends and family.  

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM. Reverend Scott Hall will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be directed to the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington.
