Mike Momot

            Mike Momot, 87, of Desloge, passed away peacefully at his home May 24, 2018. He was born November 17, 1930, in Leadwood, to the late, Nick and Catharina (Steciw) Momot. Mike was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption, and the International Association of Machinist Dist No. 9 Union Hall. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and was a decorated U.S. Veteran of the Korean War.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Ruth (Boyd) Momot; brothers, Andrew, Frank, Nick, John, and Harry Momot; sisters, Anna Medley, Helen Champman, Mary Lockmiller, and Katherine Black; step-dad, Joseph Benton.

            Mike is survived by seven sons, Randy, Ricky, Ronnie, Gary, Bob, Terry, and Bruce Momot; one sister, Rose Alexander.

            Funeral Services will be private on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 with full military honors. Arrangements under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Memorials may be directed to St. Francois County’s “Shop With A Cop.”
