Mike King

      Mike King, age 66, of Valle Mines, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on October 6, 1954, in Birney to the late Merle and Hazel (Ruble) King. Mike worked as a truck driver hauling concrete and was a member of Teamsters Local  682.  He attended Happy Grove Church of God.  Mike enjoyed music, singing, hunting, helping people, but most of all he loved spending time with his family   

     In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Merle “Jack” King and a sister, Rita Foley. 

     Mike is survived by his loving wife, Shelba (Skaggs) King; beloved children, Michelle (Cory) Politte and Michael (Christina) King; seven grandchildren, Danny Montgomery, Ryan (Darci) Montgomery, Macey Montgomery, Jayden Montgomery, Bryson Ely, Dilan King and Alyvia King; siblings, Linda Skaggs, Joyce Lee, Gary “Pat” (Barb) King, Ronnie (Cheryl) King, Roger (Kathy) King, Randy (Laura) King and Nate (Barb) King along with several nieces, nephews, friends and family.

     Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 5 pm until 9 pm at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.  Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 11 am until service time of 1 pm with Bishop Darrin Brown officiating and assisted by Bishop Leroy Brown and Bishop Paul Keith. Burial will follow at Germania Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z.
