Mike Davis, age 75, of Park Hills, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Wednesday, November 23, 1949, in St. Louis to the late Roy and Dimple (Rutherford) Davis. Mike exemplified a life of service, dedication, and love for his family.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mike served his country during the Vietnam War, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. His commitment to his country was matched only by his dedication to his craft as a master carpenter. Michael honed his skills over more than three decades in the construction industry, retiring in 2018.
Mike will be remembered fondly for his vibrant spirit and his many passions. He found joy in fishing and hunting, and his love for nature shown through in his beautiful flower garden, particularly his cherished roses. An avid woodworker, he created pieces that reflected both skill and heart, but above all, Michael's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Cathie (Dobas) Davis; son, Bradley Sanders (Davis).
Mike is survived by his children, Joanna (Gary) Robbins, Christy Davis, Tammie (James) Fortner, Dawn (Brian) Reynolds; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Katelynn Robbins, Johnna, Skyler, Michael, Hollie, Hannah and Owen Davis, Sara, Emalee, James Jr. and Jennifer (Joshua) Nuneviller and Courtney, Alexandria, Lance, and Ryan Kraemer; great-grandchildren, Jaynee, Andrew and Jerzee Davis, Magnolia and Colsen Davis, Bodee and Brigham Davis; siblings, Randy (Marlene) Davis, Keith (Judy) Davis, Bruce (Kristin) Davis and Wenda (Gale) Todd, along with several in laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice and nurse Allie for the care and compassion given to them during this time.
