Michael Mason

            Mike Mason, 77, of Leadwood, passed away, June 28, 2016, at Parkland Health Center South, surrounded by his family. He was born February 3, 1939, in Wortham, to the late Marvin and Zelma (Rasnic) Mason. Mike retired from AT&T, was a past member of the West County School Board for 12 years, and a member of the Leadwood United Methodist Church.

             He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Anna Mae Halbrook.

             Mike is survived by his loving wife, Emily (Hollars) Mason; three children, Page Ann (Mrs. Bryan) Carlyon, Michael Mason and wife Sheri, Janna (Mrs. Rodney) Pirtle; grandchildren, Joseph (Kelly) Carlyon, Christopher Carlyon, Ethan Carlyon, Rachel (Gary) Fenwick, Paige Mason, Katie Mason, Michaela Mason, and Lexie Pirtle; great-grandchildren, Allie, Harley, and Remington; three siblings, Tom Mason, Keith Mason and wife Becky, and Carolyn (Mrs. Jack) Brewer.

             The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Retzer will be officiating, assisted by Padre Payne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Judes or Leadwood United Methodist Church.
