Michael Anthony Krus

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Krus, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on May 13, 1965, in Granite City Illinois, to Jerome “Jerry” and Mary Ann (Kientzy) Krus, Sr. Michael was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre.

 He was preceded in death by his father Jerome “Jerry” Krus, Sr.; brother, Jerry Krus, Jr. Michael was a devoted family man, who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and their cherished grandchildren. An avid sports fan, Michael had a particular passion for football, often sharing his favorite teams and players with family and friends His love for the game was as strong as his love for those he held dear, and he often combined the two by cheering on teams while surrounded by his family.

 Michael is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Lori “Dawn” (Davis) Krus; three children, Ryan Krus and wife Miranda-Osmack Krus, Kelly Ricketts and husband Daniel, Kyle Krus and wife Crystal; four grandchildren, Stella, Sailor and Milo Ricketts, and Oliver Krus; one sister, Shelia Henry; he also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and family members; and special friend, John Bader.

 Michael's life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and joy. He had an innate ability to uplift those around him, making even the most ordinary moments feel extraordinary. His legacy will be remembered through the lives he touched and the love he shared.

The family will be doing a private Celebration of Life for Michael.  Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
