Melvin Pherigo

Melvin Pherigo, 84 of Desloge, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence.He was born August 3, 1928 in Warren County.He is a member of Desloge First Baptist Church, Tennessee Masonic and Shriners. He is preceded in death by parents, John Thomas and Orpha Mae (Harlen) Pherigo; brothers, Vern Pherigo, Charles Pherigo, and Troy Pherigo; sister, Bonnie Littrell; and half brother, Leo Sullins. Melvin is survived by wife, Mildred (Lange) Pherigo of Desloge; children, Peggy Rita (Mrs. James) Hamlin of TN, Danny James (Jenny) Pherigo of St. James, Matthew David (Pamela) Pherigo of St. James, Susan Pherigo of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Eric, Loranine, Carrol, Lynn, and Matthew; brother,Orley Ray (Wanda) Pherigo; and several great-grandchildren. The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, March 11, 2013, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the service immediately following.A private interment will follow the service.In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to the Desloge First Baptist Building Fund.
