Melba Bernice Burr

Bernice Burr, 90 of Desloge, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her home in Desloge.She was born August 12, 1922 in Bonne Terre to the late Lawrence and Laura (Pigg) Richardson.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge. She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Leonard Burr; daughter, Sandra Kay Haden; son, Keith Allen Burr; brothers, Rosco Richardson and Charlie Richardson; sisters, Marcela Tomey, Virginia Huddleston, and Viola Bess. Bernice is survived by children, James Leonard Burr and wife Barb of Park Hills, Donald Eugene Burr and wife Patricia of Lebanon, TN and Laura Angela Fondren of Choctaw, OK; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Vistiation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.The service will be held at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bradford Laubinger and Lindell Richardson officiating.Interment will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Bonne Terre.Memorials can be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital.
