Milford “Mel” Merseal, 74, of Park Hills, passed away October 7, 2020, at Missouri Baptist in St. Louis. He was born November 30, 1945, in Bonne Terre, to the late James Victor and Dorothy Adel (Edgar) Merseal, Sr. Mel was a truck driver for several years and loved hot rods and drag racing. He could light up a room and his smile was contagious.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy (Dunn) Merseal; grandson, Bryan Hackworth; siblings, Wanda Bailey, Glenda Rhives, and Jimmy Merseal.
Mel is survived by two children, Carrie Ann Merseal, James Anthony Merseal and wife Lisa; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, and Haydon Merseal; one great-grandchild, Koe Merseal; siblings, Betty Jo Denton, Loma Gene (Gary) Johnson, Bobby Merseal, Kenny (Sandy) Merseal and Joe Mallory; special friend, Maxine Drennen; many nieces, nephews and friends, also survive.
Visitation will be held at House of Praise on Dunn Road in Desloge, Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Scott Vandergraph will be officiating. Memorials may be directed to the House of Praise Church of God Food Pantry in Desloge.
