Melvin Carl Pinkston passed away Feb. 19, 2003, in Farmington, at the age of 49 years, 6 months & 19 days. Mel was born July 31, 1953, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Mel was Owner/Operator of Mel's Meat Market in Farmington. Mel was a member, Usher, Deacon & Sunday School teacher at 1st Free Will Baptist Church, Farmington. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: WIFE: Karen Sue 'Smith' Pinkston, of Farmington. SON: Rich Pinkston, Tokyo, Japan. DAUGHTER: Charissa 'Mrs. Steve' Palmer, Farmington. SISTER: Debbie 'Mrs. Jeff' Seers, of Farmington. PARENTS: Carl Glenwood Pinkston & Dorothy Ann 'Sutherland' Pinkston, Farmington. 1 GRANDSON: Alex Palmer, Farmington; Mother-In-Law: Thelma Maxine Smith, Farmington; 1 Sister-In-Law: Judy 'Mrs. Darren' Koffman, Terre du Lac. Also surviving are: numerous Uncles; Aunts; Nieces; Nephews & Cousins. Visitation Friday, 2 - 9 p.m., and resuming Saturday, 6 - 9:30 am, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL & Funeral Sat. - 11 am - Feb. 22, 2003, at Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church (corner of W. Columbia & 'A' Streets) with Rev. Roger Hogan officiating. Interment in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
