Maxine Siegenthaler, 80, of Park Hills, passed away April 16, 2014 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born November 12, 1933 in Monteray, to the late John and Evelena (Strickland) Siegenthaler. Maxine loved writing and singing songs, and they were featured on the Back Roads Ministry Radio Show for over 10 years on KFMO. She would sing at the nursing homes on Wednesdays and drove for SMTS for 29 years.Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo, Lloyd, and Eugene Siegenthaler; sisters, Gladys Martin and Wilma Chitwood; nieces, Dee and Jeanne Chitwood; nephew, John Siegenthaler.Maxine is survived by nieces, Mary Marler, Donna King, Lisa Siegenthaler, Joyce Ann Smith, Dottie McGrael, Margie Davis, and Alice Neeley; nephew, Gene Siegenthaler; and best friend, Georgia Kirkpatrick.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, April 21, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the chapel, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be directed to First Assembly of God Church in Park Hills.
