Maudie Alice Kane

Maudie Alice Kane 68, of Bonne Terre passed away January 5, 2012 at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, MO. She was born July 19, 1943 in Bixby, MO. She was a member of the Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Janie (Flowers) Stricklin; husband, John A. Kane, Sr.; grandson, Mark A. Quesenberry; son-in-law, John F. Sansoucie; brothers, Charles, Junior and Frankie Stricklin; sisters, Wilma Medley, Juanita Dyle, Dolly Dunlap, Geneva Stricklin, Betty Stricklin; brother-in-laws, Patrick Hughey, Delmer Turner, Bob Dyle, Dan Dunlap.Alice is survived by five children, Billy Kane and wife Romona of Farmington, Jannie Hammock of Bonne Terre, Gladys (Mrs. Marvin) Young of Greenville, Betty (Mrs. Anthony) Sansoucie of Bonne Terre and John Kane, Jr. and wife Freda of Bixby; ten grandchildren, April Mulligan, Samantha McMillian, Bobby Kane, Jamie Thompson, Laura Butler, Jonathan Sansoucie, John A. Kane III, Gregory Young, Jacqulyn Young and Patrick Richardson; fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha Faye Hughey, Veate (Mrs. Carl) Brooks, Debbie (Mrs. Don) Declue, Sue (Mrs. Sam) Wright; two brothers, Lavern Stricklin and wife Janice and Leon Stricklin and wife Grace; very special friends, Chyrle Skaggs and Barb Crane. Several family members and friends also survive. Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Larry Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
