Mary Yount

Mary L. Yount, 83, of Leadwood passed away May 3, 2014.

She was born September 21, 1930 in Leadwood. She was a member of the Leadwood

United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was

well known as a gifted soloist. Mary taught at West County Elementary for most

of her life. She was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. She

was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Carrie (Howard) VanLear;

husband, Robert L. Yount, nephew Steve Yount, Sisters in law Myra & Mildred

Yount; brother in law Delmon Yount. Mary

is survived by two children, Van Yount of Desloge, Patti Sullivan and husband

Stan of Steelville; four grandchildren, Kelly Gentry of Desloge, Nathan Yount

and wife Brittney of Columbia, MO, Jenny Pearce and husband Randy of N. Little

Rock, AR, Erin Christianson and fianc Gene Sanders of Sherwood, AR; eight

great-grandchildren, AnnaBelle, Mason, Peyton, Reagan, David, Karen, Erika,

Evan; brother, Clarence E. "Bud" VanLear and wife Janet of Buchanan, Mi.; nieces

and nephews, Carrie and Tom; Rosanna and Paul; Kathy Kernan, Connie Yount,

Grady Yount, Jeff Yount: also brothers-in-law, John and Donald Yount;

sister-in-law, Helen Yount. Visitation will be Monday, May 5,

2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in

Desloge. Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son

Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Padre Payne officiating. Interment will follow at

Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Leadwood United Methodist Church.
