Mary Lou Hanger age 88, of Farmington, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, surrounded by family.  She was born Thursday, May 05, 1932 in Oats, MO. Mary Lou was a proud member of the Farmington First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed singing in the church choir and sewing. Mary Lou volunteered with her husband at the Farmington Ministerial Alliance thrift store. She also started Magazine Ministry, where she collected magazines and enjoyed distributing them to the local nursing homes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oather and Beulah (Sutterfield) Gallaher; beloved husband, Leo Hanger, loving daughter’s Kathy Henderson, Deana Thompson and son in law Jack Hale.

Mary Lou is survived by her loving children, Sherry Hale, Lynn (Dennis) Schmoele and son John (Shana) Hanger; Grandchildren, Chuck and Sara Henderson, Rebecca Merseal, Rachel Stroder, Steven and Eric O’Briant, Brandon Schomele, Jeffery Hale, Dylan, and Brandt Sarratt. Great Grandchildren; Caden Merseal, Ella, Lucy, Emerson, Braelyn and Oliver along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020, open to friends at 12:00PM until service time at 2:00 PM C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Taylor Chapel  Interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington.  Memorial can be made to Farmington Ministerial Alliance thrift store. 4331 Showplace Drive Farmington, MO 63640
