Mary Helen Dugan

Mary Helen Dugan, 98, of Farmington passed away September 11, 2024 at Presbyterian Manor of Farmington. She was born October 26, 1925 in Fredericktown to the late Francis “Fritz” Prokopf and Nellie (Ray) Prokopf. She was also proceeded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” Dugan; sisters, Gertrude Miller, Julia Mell, Frances Dettmer, Cecilia DeShaney; brothers, Charles Prokopf, Jerry Prokopf, Joseph Prokopf; and first husband, Glenn Wagganer.  

Mary is survived by one brother, Paul Prokopf. She will be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  

Mary was a practicing member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington and loved Jesus. She worked as a receiving clerk for the once popular Venture Stores until retirement. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading, playing cards, and playing bingo. She was a devoted volunteer election official and proudly served in many elections.  

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Cemetery in Fredericktown. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Michael Catholic Church in Fredericktown in honor of Mary’s memory.
