Mary Ann (nee Wood) Redmond of Park Hills, MO died on October 3, 2015. She was born September 4, 1936 in Bonne Terre, MO to Herbert V. and Gladys A. (nee McCauley) Wood. Mary worked as a registered nurse in area hospitals and nursing homes for over 40 years. Mary is survived by her children, Barbara Trokey of O'Fallon, MO; James (Karen) Redmond of Bonne Terre, MO; Rita Coleman of Park Hills, MO, Michael (Lori) Redmond of Vergennes, VT; Rose (Charles) Jennings of Fredericktown, MO; and Anthony (Tony) (Lisa) Redmond of Park Hills, MO; five brothers, Fr. Robert Wood, CM of Perryville, MO; Leroy (Mabel) Wood of Buffalo, NY; Donald Wood of Hopewell Junction, NY; Joseph Wood of Lynchburg, VA; and John (Elaine) Wood of Barlow, KY; three sisters, Ruth Wood of Bonne Terre, MO; Barbara (Michael) Sanders of Lenexa, KS; and Dorothy (Thomas) Gleich of Davenport, IA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert V. and Gladys A. (nee McCauley) Wood; brothers, Thomas H. Wood, Sr. and H. Francis Wood. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home, 313 Benham Street, Bonne, Terre, MO. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15 St. Joseph Street, Bonne Terre, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Veterans organization of your choice as Mary was proud of the military service of her brothers and sons.
