Marvin Dunlap

            Marvin Dunlap, 85, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, formerly of Bismarck, passed away December 21, 2020, at his daughter’s residence in Desloge. He was born May 23, 1935 in Irondale, to the late Ocia Frank and Francis (Barton) Dunlap. Marvin worked as an electrician at the University of Michigan and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Ercoupe Owners Club and Regional Directors and Brighton Airport Association. He enjoyed flying airplanes and could fix anything. His greater enjoyment however, was time spent with his grandchildren.  

          Mr. Dunlap is survived by his loving wife of 63 1/2 years, Ruth (Boyer) Dunlap, three children, Sharon Towles (Timothy Towles), Tammey (Rodney) Ranger and Lloyd (Shelli) Dunlap; grandchildren, Tiffany Gutierrez, Tyler Towles and fiancé Teresa Pfohl, Sean Ranger, Bobbie(Jessie) Fearer, Dillon Harris and fiancé Krystal, Sonja (Raul) Garcia, Luke Dunlap, Mellanie (Billy) Bradfute: several great- grandchildren; siblings; Gerald (Phyllis) Dunlap, Mary Lou (Carlos) Boswell, Dewayne “Gomer” Dunlap; Linda Marler, Nancy (Gary) Bazzell along with several nieces and nephews.

         In addition to his parents Marvin was preceded in death by granddaughter, Felicia Towles and seven siblings.

          Memorial visitation for Marvin Dunlap will be Saturday December 26, 2020 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 11am until 3pm. Additional services will take place at a later date in Michigan. Face masks or coverings are required before entering funeral home.
