Marvin "Snapper" Belknap, 87 of Bismarck, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his residence.He was born October 23, 1925 in Leadwood.Marvin served his Country in The United States Air Force and was stationed in the Pacific theatre in Hawaii, Guam and the Phillipines.He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.He was a member of the Bismarck United Methodist Church and Bismarck V.F.W. He retired, after 40 years of employment at Arkansas Power and Light. He is preceded in death by wife, Shirley Belknap; parents, Marvin and Pear (Skaggs) Belknap Sr.; son, Larry Dean Belknap; and sister, Shirley Ann Karll. Marvin is survived by children, Vickie Belknap of Bismarck, and Kimberly (Mrs. Michael) Hardy of Wappapello; also surviving three daughters, Sheila, Debbie, and Susan; grandchildren, Crystal Politte, Brandi Belknap, Allyn Rizo, Jessica White, and Tyler Hardy; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Billie Jean Ketcherside of Kirkwood. The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.The service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, with Rev. Brad Dush officiating. Interment will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Bismarck.Memorials can be made to the Ericka Wade Foundation.
