Marshall Barton

Marshall “Hot Rod” Barton, 65, of Desloge, passed away June 24, 2024, at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi. He was born February 20, 1959, in Desloge, to the late Paul and Glenda (Marshall) Barton. He worked alongside with his brother, Paul at Barton’s Service in Desloge for 30 years and spent most of his career working as a mechanic. Marshall enjoyed hunting, fishing, car shows and road trips. 

 He is survived by his children, Anissa Barton, Kaylynn “Boo” Barton, Mary Lynn Martin and Curtis Bradley Barton; fiancée of 37 years, Dena Burnia; step-son, Kyle Burnia and wife Natasha; grandchildren, Elliot Barton, Jesse (Mallory) Martin, Jayden Kirchner and Abbigale Kirchner; two great-grandchildren, Reilly Martin and Addison Martin; siblings, James “Red” Barton, Leeman “Bud” (Janette) Barton, Paul (Nancy) Barton, Kathy (David) Cramp, Rita (Jack) Bledsoe, Myrna (David) Kennedy and Burlyn Ripey.

 Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, June 28, 2024, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Reverend Brian Jenkerson will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses.
