Mark Ellison Abney

Mark Ellison Abney, age 57, of Bonne Terre, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born on Wednesday, June 1, 1966, in Creve Coeur.

He was preceded in death by his father; Ellison Louis Abney Jr.; step-father, George Carr; grandparents, Ellison and Iva Abney, Sr. and Dan and Iva Matthews.

Mark was currently employed with Michelson Group where he worked in construction for over 10 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, hunting and just about anything that had to do with being outdoors. He was known to be a great pool player.

He is survived by his sons, Nicholas A. Momot and Chase L. Abney; grandson, Nicholas A. Momot Jr.; mother, Helen M. (Matthews) Carr; sister, Kimberly E. Rowden and husband Billy; friend, Tracy Griffin along with other family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2023, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time of 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Barton officiating.
