Marilyn Rosalie Bannister

Marilyn Bannister, 75, of Desloge, passed away November 2, 2015 at Southbrook Nursing Facility in Farmington. She was born October 15, 1940, in Ste. Genevieve County, to the late Bradford and Hilda (Thurman) Yawberry. Marilyn was a member of Parkview Freewill Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi for 40 years and previous City Clerk for the City of Desloge. She held numerous positions with area banks and managed The Desloge Senior Apartments for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Dean Bannister; son, Doug Bannister; and two brothers, James and Jim Yawberry. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Mrs. Randy) Pigg; grandchildren, Laura (Mrs. Brian) Lohman, Brad Bannister and wife Heather; great granddaughter, Reighlyn Bannister; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth (Mrs. Rick) Peacock; and one brother, Ronald Yawberry. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at Parkview Freewill Baptist Church in Desloge, Friday, November 6, 2015 at 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Reverend Gary Parker will be officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery outside of Farmington. Memorials may be directed to the Kitchen Fund at Parkview Freewill Baptist Church in Desloge.
