Marie Ava Gibson

Marie Ava (Morris) Gibson of Desloge, was born August 7, 1927 in Leadington.She has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 12, 2012 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel Thomas Morris and Omah Margaret (Wells) Morris; husband, C. Bernard Gibson; brothers, Virgil E. Morris, John R. Morris, Sr., Alvin L. Morris and Stanley E. Morris; sisters, Alberta Morris, Virginia L. Morris, and Elva M. (Morris) Clark. Marie is survived by one daughter, Rhonda L. (Gibson) Barnett and husband Kenny Barnett; one grandson, Terry L. Barnett and Wife Tammie J. (Jennings) Barnett; one great-grandson, Cody J. Barnett, all of Park Hills; beloved sister, Alice Pierce of Farmington; brother, Lemuel Morris and wife Jean, of Arkansas; special nephew and niece, Gary and Judy Huitt, of Farmington; sister in-law, Sally Morris, of Leadwood; many other nieces and nephews; and her church family at Parkview Free Will Baptist Church in Desloge. Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2012 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.Visitation will resume at Parkview Free Will Baptist Church in Desloge, at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2012, and service at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Gary Parker and Rev. Charles Miller officiating.Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
