Margaret Bell Miller

Margaret Bell Miller, a beloved member of the Caledonia community, passed away at her residence on September 28, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on April 27, 1937, in Harviell, Missouri, to the late Francis and Bessie (Shumate) Pennington.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her dear husband of 48 years, Herbert Lee Miller; two sons, John Edward Miller and Francis Lee “Frank” Miller; three brothers, Jesse Pennington, Jimmy Pennington, and Richard Pennington; three sisters, Jewel Mayo, Shirley Nealy, and Peggy Fortman.

Margaret was a cherished mother to her children, Robert W. (Janet) Miller, Barbara (Steve) Lachance, and Mary Killian; twelve adoring grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother Danny (Margaret) Pennington. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews many friends and family.

Known for her unwavering faith and love for her family, Margaret was a great quilter. She found joy in doing embroidering, gardening, puzzles, and raising her children.

A family graveside service will be held at 10 am on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Caledonia. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
