Margaret Cantrell, 66 of Farmington, passed away January 30, 2023, at Parkland Hospital in Farmington. She was born May 21, 1956, in Bonne Terre, to Leroy and Alma Jean (Helvey) Pinkley. Margaret attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and elephants. Margaret enjoyed coloring on her tablet and spoiling her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Pinkley; maternal grandparents, Tone and Rose Helvey; paternal grandparents, Edna and Lee Keathley and Alberto “Bert” Pinkley; in-laws, Carl, Sr. and Reva Cantrell.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 38 years, Carl Cantrell, Jr.; mother, Alma Jean (Helvey) Pinkley; children, Ryan Cantrell and wife Katie, Katie Smith and husband Eddie; three grandchildren, Bethany Leigh Cantrell, Nolan Joseph Smith and Carson Ray Smith; brothers, Grant Pinkley and wife Patti, David Pinkley and wife April; several nieces, nephews, and other family members, also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, February 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Brother Roger Hogan will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the Farmington Pet Adoption Center in Farmington.
