Maretta Laplante

Maretta Jean Dye LaPlante passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 in Park Hills at her Mother-in-Laws home surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Captain James A. Dye; Grandmother, Alma Irene Marler; nephew, Lance Dye. Maretta was born on April 10, 1951 in St. Louis, MO.She is survived by her mother, Henrietta Dye of Farmington; mother-in-law, Shirley A. LaPlante; husband, of 30 years, Bruce C. LaPlante of Park Hills; children, MSgt Daniel J. Dye and wife Tisha of Selfkant, Germany, Jami D. Pope of Park Hills, Joshua C. LaPlante and Amanda Ruiz of Overland Park, KS, Nicholas J. LaPlante of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Tyler Dane, Dakota Pope, Madison Pope, Nolan Dye, and Avery LaPlante; three siblings, brother, Daniel A. Dye and wife Marilyn of Deland, Florida, sister, Linda Petty and husband Paul of Farmington, and sister, Rita S. Becker of Park Hills. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.Maretta enjoyed spending time with family and friends whether at home or away. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge with Evangelist Bernie Crum officiating and assisted by Reverend Steve Stillman. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, MO.
