Lynda "Petie" Priest Mccorkle

            Petie Priest McCorkle, 68, of Park Hills, passed away March 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 14, 1948, in Bonne Terre, to the late Forrest Johnson and Edna Maxine (Branon) Womble. Petie was a hairstylist for 41 years, loved bowling, camping, golfing, fishing, yardwork, shopping, and sporting events. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Park Hills, and she was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Priest; and one brother, Donald Johnson. 

            Petie is survived by her husband, Robert McCorkle; two children, Heather Merritt and husband Tony, Joe Priest and wife Kristy; five grandchildren, Brett Priest, Zac Priest, Briley Merritt, Amanda (Priest) Hillman, and Ashelynn Priest; one brother Terry Johnson of AZ; and one sister-in-law, Julia Johnson. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the Chapel of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, with Rev. Andy D. Petty officiating. Interment will follow at K of P Cemetery in Park Hills. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
