Lucille Cagle

            Lucille Cagle, 95, of Desloge, passed away November 6, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. She was born August 21, 1921 in Stoney Point, to the late Rufus M. and Martena (Pettus) Helms. Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge for 52 years. She was a homemaker who was a talented seamstress and loved to quilt. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Ervin Cagle; four brothers, Bud, Harvey, Marvin and Morris Helms; five sisters, Irene Glore, Edith Forshee, Emily Iahn, Marie Helms in infancy, and Grace Jarvis. 

            Lucille was survived by three children, Sue (Mrs. Ray) Marler, Lynn (Mrs. Dennis) Brooks, and Patti Cagle; five grandchildren, Chip (Shelly) Marler, Shari (Mrs. Mark) Stanfill, Corrinda Brooks, Tasha (Bryan) Franklin, T. Jaye (Gina) Cagle; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM at The First Baptist Church in Desloge, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, with the service following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Bradford Laubinger will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Desloge.
