Mrs. Leta Lovell Laws passed away early Sunday evening, February 25, 2007, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor at the age of 94 years, 11 months & 14 days. Lovell was born March 11, 1912, in Centralia, Illinois, & was the daughter of Lennie Rohan Thomas & Nancy Elizabeth 'Shaw' Thomas. Also preceding in death were her husband, Claude Arvil Laws (1987); 1 son, Thomas David Laws & several brothers & sisters: Mearl Shinn; Pearl Kocher; William Thomas; Opal Horton; Fern Mell; Gus Thomas; Harry Thomas & Cleva Huff.
Lovell was: * a member of Farmington First Baptist Church; * a member of The Clearview Neighbors & she retired as a Switchboard Operator from the Farmington State Hospital #4.
Survivors Include: 1 Daughter, Jennie Lee 'Mrs. Gary' Bertram, of Farmington; 1 Daughter-In-Law: Martha Laws, of New London, MO; Grandchildren: Steven (& Trudy) Laws; Mary Ellen (Mrs. Jason) McDowell; Ryan (& Erica) Bertram; & Joshua Bertram. Also, 4 Great-Grandchildren: Clayton McDowell; Abigail Laws; Carter McDowell & Hannah Laws.
Visitation: Tuesday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Wednesday, 7-9 a.m. at TAYLOR Funeral Service
Visitation at Farmington First Baptist Church starts Wednesday, 10 am
Funeral: Wednesday, 11 am, February 28, 2007
at : Farmington First Baptist Church with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.
Interment follows at Masonic Cemetery, Farmington.
