Mr. Lonnie L. Goggins passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at his Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence at the age of 90 years, 10 months & 17 days. Lonnie was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Elvins, MO., & was the son of Lattie Goggins & Effie Mae 'Crocker' Goggins. Also preceding-in-death were: his wife, Ollieann 'Tesreau' Goggins (Aug. 19, 2016); a brother, in-infancy, Jeffrey Goggins & 3 sisters - Juanita Grimes; Ettavie (& Bill) Tucker; and Charma (& Gene) Beck.
Lonnie grew up in the Elvins Methodist Church until he met & married Ollieann Tesreau (Aug. 21, 1948). Lonnie was a member & Deacon of: Elvins, Farmington, Cantwell & Kimberling City Baptist Churches. Most recently, Lonnie was a member of Farmington First Baptist Church. Lonnie inherited Goggins Drilling from his dad, Lattie, where he became Owner/Operator of Goggins Drilling Co. for 50+ years. In 1954, Lonnie went to Haiti & drilled the 1st well in Haiti. Lonnie worked as a Shift Foreman for Valle Dolomite. Lonnie served as a Private 1st Class in the US Army during World War II. Lonnie was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, cousin & friend to many. He was always willing to help with whatever project there was in family, friend or church. Daddy, we are so happy to know that you & your sweet Momma are in paradise together, forever.
Survivors Include: 3 daughters - Jane (& Jim) Klinkhardt, of Farmington; Sue (& Lyle) Slaght, of San Antonio, TX; and Peggy (& David) Morrison, of St. Louis. Grandchildren: Matthew (& Julie) Klinkhardt; Brandon Klinkhardt; Deidre (& Brandon) Merseal; Katy (& James) McCleese; Dr. Ben Morrison, MD (& Erica); Margie (& Anthony) Delgado and Annie (& Joe) Montgomery. Great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Madison & Jackson Klinkhardt; Elijah Merseal; Everett & Louis Morrison; Aidan & Rose Whitemountain; Lyla Delgado; Clark; Kylie & Max Montgomery.
