Linda Marie Duty

 Linda Marie (Reeves) Duty, age 62, of Desloge passed away January 21, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born September 10, 1959, in Bismarck, Missouri to the late Jessie Nathan and Hazel Marie (Moreland) Reeves. Linda had a big heart and loved taking care of her children and her family. Her kids were her world. Linda was an excellent cook and a best friend you wished you had.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Duty; son, Freddie L Abney, Jr.; brothers, Furd Reeves and Paul Reeves; sister, Annabelle Tindall.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kayla Owen-Sutherland and husband Hulen; son, Nathan Abney; grandchildren, Christopher Abney and Nicolas Abney; siblings, Nonie Reeves, John Reeves, Eugene Reeves, Clyde Reeves, Albert Reeves, and Carl Reeves; best friend for life, Linda Ames; and many other family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
