Mrs. Linda Lorraine 'LaChance' DeSpain passed away Tuesday evening, September 22, 2009, at her Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center residence, in Farmington, at the age of 87 years, 8 months & 21 days. Linda was born on December 31, 1921, in Mine la Motte, Missouri, and was the daughter of Benjamin LaChance and Julia 'Adams' LaChance. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Gaines "G. W." DeSpain, (July 16, 2000); 2 Sisters: Pauline Harrison & Mildred Shoemaker. Also, 3 Brothers: Harold LaChance; Benjamin LaChance & David Lachance.
Linda was a faithful member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington.
Survivors Include, 2 Sons: David Ray (& Beverly) DeSpain, of Fredericksburg, VA; Dennis Michael DeSpain, of Jacksonville, FL. 1 Sister, Goldie Bailey, of Fredericktown; 1 Brother: James (& Jo) LaChance, of New Hampshire. A Niece: Betty Wassman, of Pilot Grove, MO. 4 Grandchildren (2 Granddaughters & 2 Grandsons). Also surviving are 2 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation Sunday, 4-7 p.m. Visitation resumes Monday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Monday, 10:00 a.m., September 28, 2009,
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating.
Interment follows at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington.
Memorials : Memorial United Methodist Church, Farmington.
