Linda Kay Rohde

Mrs. Linda Kay 'Jones' Rohde passed away at her Ironton residence surrounded by her loved ones late Tuesday morning, April 22, 2014, at the age of 63 years, 1 month & 2 days. Linda was born on March 20, 1951, in Ironton, and was the daughter of Hazel Ruth 'Thompson' Jones and the late Homer Edward Jones. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a special brother-in-law, Gary Powell; great-nephew, Jordon Followell; mother and father-in-law, Jake and Maude Rohde.

Linda was a Registered Nurse and had been employed at Parkland Hospital for several years before changing her career to Home Health Nursing. Her passion was taking care of others. She was instrumental in the initiation and Administrator of Generations Home Health Agency in Ironton before her illness. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Doe Run.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Robert Rohde; mother, Hazel Jones, of Doe Run; children: Ron Mullinax and Patti Whitener, of Farmington; Craig Rohde, of Ironton. Special step-daughter, Victoria Lowenstein and husband, Jeff, of Port Richie, FL; 2 grandsons: Cody Mullinax Winder and wife Katie, of Ft. Stewart, GA; Clayton Mullinax of Farmington; Great-Granddaughter, Reagan Winder. 4 step-grandchildren: Erica and Mike Lowenstein; Chelsi and Zach Whitener; 3 step, great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her loving family of 2 very special sisters: Edna Hedrick and husband Jim, of Ironton; Norma Powell, of Doe Run. 2 brothers: James Jones and wife Gwen, of Fredericktown; Charles Jones and special sister-in-law Cheryl, of Ironton. Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins and very special friends.

Visitation : Friday 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Saturday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Saturday, 1:00 p.m., April 26, 2014
