Lillie Hawkins

            Lillie Hawkins, 90, of Desloge, passed away July 24, 2017 at Mercy Jefferson in Crystal City.  She was born October 24, 1926, in Carlisle, PA, to the late Chester Hughe and Phoebe Anna (Chronister) Stoner.  Lillie was a Life Time Member of the Desloge VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2426.  

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Haskell Hawkins; daughter, Susan Hulsey; son, Blaine Hawkins; and grandson, Michael Hulsey. 

            Lillie is survived by her children, James Edward (Sandy) Hawkins, Bobbie Lea Hollingsworth, Charlene (Ross Fontana) Groves, Sheila Light, and Jackie Hawkins; seven grandchildren, Cherie Barton, Paul (Sierra) Barton, Lori Light, Shawn (Courtney Hawkins) Light, Shelly Groves, Amanda Hulsey, and Blaine Hawkins; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, July 26, 2017 at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a VFW Auxiliary service at 7 pm.  The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Thursday July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.  Memorials may be directed to the Desloge VFW.
