Leon O. Mcanally

Leon O. McAnally, age 93, of Terre Du Lac entered into rest with our loving God on November 21, 2016 at his granddaughter’s home in Farmington.  He was born March 6, 1923 in De Soto, MO to the late Ferman and Ova (Rider) McAnally.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline (Sparks) McAnally; daughter, Claudia; sisters, Valeria Sheppard and Grace Rousan; brothers, Robert and Carless McAnally.

Leon was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a member of the Teamsters Local # 610 and drove for 25 years. He served his country with the United States Navy He enjoyed gardening, church activities, and was an usher at his church for several years. Leon belonged to the following organizations, Parents of Murdered Children, Day by Day, and Bereaved Parents.  

Leon is survived by two sons, Jeff (Patty) McAnally and Chris McAnally; grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Hampton, Margie and Mary McAnally; great-grandchildren, Carly, Emma, Claudia, Emilia, Hunter and Ava; two brothers, Jim McAnally and Leroy (Joann) McAnally; sister, Delores Hamel.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Rev. Dwight Jones officiating.
