Lelia Rowe

            Lelia Rowe, 104, of Farmington, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Camelot Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born January 24, 1913 in Marquand, to the late Jesse and Margaret Ann (Hansen) Rhodes. Lelia was a member of the Esther United Methodist Church. She worked as a checker at I.G.A. grocery store. Lelia loved to cook and her family was light of her life. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Easton Rowe; son, Darrell Rowe; siblings, Pearl Green, Arthur Rhodes, Sarepta Mason and 4 others in infancy; two great-grandsons, Ben and Joel Wright. 

            Lelia is survived by her daughter, Sue (Mrs. Joe) Turner; grandchildren, Denise (Dale) Wright, Darrell (Susie) Rowe, Cathy (Steve) Marler, Randy (Jennifer) Rowe, Cindy Minnis and spouse Betsy Lehmann, Amy (Chris) Williams, Anna (Kyle) Yount; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; nineteen, great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law, Jennell Rowe. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume at 10:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2018. Reverend Pati Robertson will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the Esther United Methodist Church or St. Francois County Relay For Life Team Turner.
