Lee Newburger

Lee Newburger, 66, of Bonne Terre, passed away March 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1953, in St. Louis, to the late Lee Jackson Newburger and Helen Bernice (Bequette) Nunn. Lee was the owner / operator of Lentz Flooring business and he enjoyed woodworking, music and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther Lee (Reese) Newburger; two brothers, Bill and David Newburger; sister, Carol Easley; step-brother, Kevin Nunn; sister in law, Patty Nunn.  

Lee is survived by his daughters, Patty (Jeff) Lentz and Melissa Newburger; Billy Newburger (Nephew); step-son, Ron Lewis; eight grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Melissa Lewis, Jacob Noble, Madison Noble, Alexandria Lentz, Jeffrey Lentz, Jr., Landon Lentz and Ricky Baumhardt; siblings, Kenny (Cindy) Newburger, Johnny (Denise) Newburger, Judy Welby, Mary “Sissy” (James) Dixon, and Janet (Kevin) Blackwood; step-brother, Chuck (Robin) Nunn; loving mother of his children, Donna Henderson;  sister-in-law, Pat Newburger;  host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Lee was a loving father figure to many.

A PRIVATE interment will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
