Lee Sloan, 90, formerly of Desloge passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital. She was born Thursday, October 20, 1927 in Esther to the late Lawrence and Elsie (Rawson) Murray. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and loved to play scrabble. Lee’s greatest love was for her family and her church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendall Galvan; second husband, William Sloan; brothers, Virgil “Bud” Murray, Lawrence Murray, and Don Murray; and sister, Dorothy “Dot” Dygert.
Lee is survived by her children, Brenda (Mrs. Terry Sebastian), Lee Ann (Mrs. Bob Vines), Roxy (Mrs. Ron LaHay), Denise (Mrs. Rob Brandt), and Wendell Galvan and wife Cathy. Grandchildren: Branon and Ross Sebastian, and Tara (Sebastian) Keiper; Michelle (LaHay) Nelson; Lauren and Robert Brandt; Wendell, Hannah, and Christian Galvan. Great-Grandchildren: Lexi Crawford and Dennis and Sara Nelson; Burke Sebastian; Audrey and Reed Keiper; Adelyn Sebastian. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, May 11, 2018, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation resumes on Saturday at 9:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with a Funeral Mass scheduled for 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills with Reverend Mark S. Ebert officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Park Hills. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
