Leah Gibson

Leah Gibson, 92 of Leadwood, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at St. Joe Manor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 26, 1921 to the late Robert and Lillian (Stapp) Ramsey. Leah was a member of The United Methodist Church of Leadwood, where she was an organist for over half a century. Leah also served in the public education system, over three decades teaching art, music and kindergarten.She is also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leeman Gibson; daughter, Dorothy Banks; grandson, Mark Banks; great-grandchild, John Wayne Ragsdale; three sisters and one brother.Leah is survived by granddaughters, Barbara (Mrs. Bob) Steel, Laura Ragsdale, and Lisa Helm; great- grandchildren, Adam, Melanie, Ryan, and Kara Steel, Jarred and Jason Ragsdale, Justin Whaley, Tyler and Garrett Helm, Brooke, Dakota and Kaydence Banks; great-great-granddaughter, Masyn Ragsdale; sisters, Loretta Eaton and Charlotte Vetsch.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Leadwood Chapel at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Rob Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
