Lawrence Benham

Lawrence Benham of Park Hills passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 72. He was born December 25, 1951, at Bonne Terre Hospital in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Cecil Paul and Wilma Mae (White) Benham.

Lawrence is survived by his two sons, Michael Shawn Benham of Bismarck and Larry Ray (Shanna) Benham of Park Hills; sister, Ella (James) Day of Park Hills; and one brother, Roland (Luella) Benham of Warrenton.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Cecil Paul and Wilma Mae (White) Benham; and infant sister, Velma Paulette Benham. Lawrence was a devoted Christian and loved Jesus. He enjoyed playing his gospel records, watching The Andy Griffith show and Green Acres, collecting tools and hardware, having family get togethers, plus eating at Lion's Choice and Golden Corral.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Visitation will resume Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Reverend Allen Teal will be officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in honor of Lawrence’s memory.
