Lawrence B. Gwaltney, Jr.

Lawrence B. Gwaltney, Jr., went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1945 in St. Louis, MO. Lawrence enjoyed teaching social studies and history for 10 years. His passion was buying and selling land and recreational properties. One of his biggest accomplishments was the development of Winchester Hills Subdivision in Farmington and the Urisaline Academy in Ironton, MO.

Lawrence enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and traveling with his family and friends. His recent joy was watching his grandsons grow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence B. Gwaltney, Sr. and Silvia (Harper) Gwaltney and sister, Lonnie Hovis.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Gabe (Beth) Gwaltney of Willow Springs, MO; grandsons, Gunner Levi and Gatlin Joe Gwaltney; sisters, Connie Neece, Bonnie Smitzer; first wife, Rosalie Gwaltney; second wife, Antionette Gwaltney and her daughter, Kirsten.

Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 2:30 PM until the time of Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Pastor Ron Degonia officiating.
